I hope when the kids are a little older to do more hiking. The hike to Laurel Falls, which is just 1.3 miles and not really too much up and down, was a little bit much for my four year old.

So a second part. These are photos from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I think that would be my favorite part of our trip.
We drove up to Clingman's Dome, which is the highest point in the Smokies. It is quite the view from the top, although there was rain moving in as we hiked up to the top. Storm on Clingman's Dome by Vincent1825, on Flickr
We also went to Cade's Cove, a beautiful place with lots of amazing views of the mountains.
