Those look like a dragging shutter to me. Does the camera have a vertical shutter or horizontal? If not, it's an obstruction. I would never say "It couldn't be the lens", but they *usually* don't produce linear issues like this.

Great shots, Nesster. But I have to disagree - there's no such thing as a lens that's too sharp. :D

Oh, man I loved Pan-X in 35mm. And Tri-X in 120. Nice pix!

It had that weird mylar backing that was virtually un-tearable, too. Crazy stuff all around, but I loved the output, and it CERTAINLY showed you every flaw your lens might possess. :D
Wasn't it mono-chromatic, too? Or had a depressed red response curve? Or something odd about the color sensitivity... been too long. :D

I believe they planned to discontinue it. I did (do) like the look of HP5+, too. And it looks like most of the 4x5 negs from that time are Tri-X, anyway, so I wasn't completely fooled :D I do remember buying six boxes of 100 sheets and freezing them because we thought it was going away. All hindsight, though. Getting old is a bitch; I recommend you avoid it if possible. Just the other day I was looking through slides from a shoot I was *certain* I did in Kodachrome, and bigger than shite it was stamped "E6". Huh. Memory is a tricky thing.
Anybody got recommendation on current C41 process B&W film? Anyone got a good lead on a lab? I'm thinkin' about breakin' out the T90 :D

LOL... Been a long time. I switched when our Kodak rep told us they were going to stop selling us Tri-X, not long after T-Max came out. I was under the impression that one could not buy it anymore, but I haven't tried, either.

Ah, the romance of the darkroom, the reels and tanks, the smell of stop bath and developer; contact dermatitis, fixer stains... LOL
What scanner are you using? The results (at least at this size) look very nice.
I switched to Delta 400 when they quit selling us Tri-X.
You ever shoot Tech Pan in Technidol?

Wow, Todd - those are just gorgeous. I'm with you on the Delta 400 grain; I used to LOVE Tri-X grain, and was quite peeved when they replaced it with T-Max. Do you scan your own?
