Visiting family in Hong Kong and saw this Agamid on a tree trunk in the countryside - Calotes versicolor - common English name is Changeable Lizard
Using more travel camera set so K3 and DA 70 HD - beast was very patient allowing me to change lenses from the DA21 to get a better range.

A common NZ skink but with a modification in the tail structure - possibly from a wound that healed oddly when it partly shed following a bird strike.

Out riding on the weekend and this creature was beside the road - (Undamaged). Black Headed Python was relaxed enough for me to stop, back up, take phone out of bag, turn it on and take a few photos. This snake is like many pythons reasonably harmless to adult humans. |

From a visit to the Cairns Aquarium - the facility has a rainforest reptile collection as well. The enclosures had plexiglass walls with very good lighting making for excellent viewing and candid subjects.

My daughter and her husband and two of their three ball pythons - Penny on the left and Harvey on the right.
Harvey is quite chilled and regularly joins the family activities.
About to check out the snake forums on the tablet.

Interesting images of the ball python - very interested to see yours.
My daughter and son in law have one in their household. Their five year old daughter is happy to interact with it but she can't stand the large insects that some people keep as pets. Definitely a reptile appreciating family - they used to have a range of chameleons.
