There are two really teeny tiny pieces of film covering both sides of the focus screen that you have to take off before installing the screen... Did you by any chance leave them there? They're quite hard to notice unless you know they're there.
But, if it's not the issue and you do need shims for correct focus, I would guess shims for different APS-C cameras are somewhat same? At least, if they're that much more available, why not try?
By the way, I just got my jinfinance double-split! Amazingly, it got here in just a bit more than a week!! It works perfectly, too - no shims required for K10D. Make quality is so-so, though.

Hehe, I did contact him, and he told me to just buy the single-split version and include a note that I want the double-split version.
I have the "toolkit" from my previous screen, and I know how to install it :p I've heard of someone installing the screen with the film :)

Aw! He doesn't have double-split prisms anymore... I wanted one :) Well, will have to wait, I guess!

Yeah, I know, I have one :) but not from jinfinance. I bought one a while ago, and I'm pretty sure I just picked a random seller :D I had to play around with shims for a while - and right now it works fine for split-screen, but I rely more on microprism, and microprism is a pita to adjust... So now I'm looking for one that's gonna work straight out of the box with no shims.

How's the accuracy? I'm especially interested in accuracy of micro-prism collar; if that's accurate, then split-screen is probably accurate too :) Also, what about blacking out?
