Beautiful photograph! And don't worry, this may be Pentaxforums but this thread is brand-agnostic :)

Thanks for your contribution!

The stuff of legends, and a reason, by itself, to own a Kiev 88..

This is a fisheye lens, isn't it? Did you De-fish the images above? They are superb!

If you use HDR properly, nobody will know you used it at all. I believe it's there to compensate for the natural dynamic range shortcomings of a camera, not to make everything look like color-vomit, and the original photo this was in reference to is superb. Excellent use of light and the range of light in the photograph.

To a gearhead like me this is just about the perfect photograph.

Is that your Jag E-type FHC?

I shot a friend's wedding a few weeks ago with my Bronica S2 and my Mamiya C330. Unfortunately the Bronnie was backfocusing badly due to the ground glass support foam issue that's widely documented online. I've since fixed it, I hope.

I did catch some good stuff, including this shot that apparently nobody else got. mamiya C330, 180mm f/4.5 on Kodak Tri-X 400.

Gotta ask, was the taking camera a MF camera as well? I'm assuming 645D/Z.

Lovely shots! I have to say, the nav lights and wake with no boat make it look like you have supersonic fireflies

That is pretty darn large! Considering that good slide film, on a great scanner, works out to about 400MP. And it won't be that wide, either.

@sugus:

What did you shoot this with? It looks grainy, almost like an autochrome, but I like it!

The above shot is beautiful despite its tiny flaws.

As for the previous shot, my eyes were drawn to the road as well, which is probably why the slightly obscured roadway from the foreground grass is bothering me. But I think that's a Me thing, not a you thing. The shot is brilliant :)

That is an excellent shot, tuco, but part of me will always wonder how much better it would be without the grass in the foreground.

I see images like these and think I need a 645z, but what I really need is to travel more.

Very nice pictures!

It really is a gigantic spotmatic. Or actually, more ike a gigantic K1000 with the metered prism, and more like a Gigantic Asahi SV without it.

There are a number of Android and iOS light-meter apps available. they work well. You can also pick up a basic digital P&S and set exposure based on what it chooses, or carry a metered 35mm film camera as well, which will give you a backup should the 6x7 have an issue, or chew through all of its film.

I have a Konica-Minolta incident meter, a Sekonic incident meter, a Pentax spot meter, and several handheld meters. My favorite non-battery meter is the GE PR-1, which works wonderfully in daylight conditions but, being a Selenium meter, will not work at all in the dark. They can be had in the Large Pizza to Nice Dinner Out price range.

A spot meter is needed for Zone System work, the incident meters are also useful to get the real exposure and not have to compensate for dark or bright subjects (And the Konica-Minolta is also a flash meter.)
