It really makes more sense to mount direct, but I could possibly see situations that are a little difficult. I've tried a monopod a few times without success, but I didn't really have a purpose. I may get to shoot at a basketball game next week, may I'll pull out my cheap monopod and try it a while. I've read different ideas on SR or not with a monopod, what do you prefer?
