This little pool of water will be full of tadpoles in the spring, them dry up in summer.

I'm not certain but I think you are correct, it was really hard to find closeup photos, and so many plants look just a little different in different stages of bloom, plus I think the species may have been cultivated and has some different varieties.. And I did not get the leaves in the photos enough to tell.

Poison Sumac Tree, even though this is only 60 miles from home, I've never saw it. It only grows in swampy type places that are wet all of the time. Touching any part of the tree is dangerous.

I went to a place I've never been to today, a place called Cedar Bog, which is actually a Fen and not a bog. You have to stay on a boardwalk, which was fine because most of it is covered with water and there are Massasauga Rattle Snakes there. Part of it was grassland, hardwood swamp forest, cedar forest, and savannah.
I couldn't get closer to ID this, not sure I would have anyway

But looks like a wildlife paradise
I went out yesterday with a macro lens, this is ice or snow on a turkey tail, unfortunately I didn't take a tripod.
