In regards of lenses, if you still want to have backward compatibility (to, say 1975 – the year of the K 35mm film SLR cameras), try getting only FA and / or F series lenses by all means. There may still be a few still available new. If you only have the PZ, MZ, ZX or *IST 35mm film SLR cameras and are adding a DSLR PENTAX body, the FAJ series can be fine in addition to the others above. Just, take into account the 1.5 X factor for DSLR bodies only. But if you’re all for DSLR, just get DA series lenses as you can.
