Do you mean the MX?

My K-3 doesn't open at the back for me to load the film :D

I'm not sure if it's the negatives or the scanning but Delta 100 would normally have much more contrast than this and I think a contrast bump in these images would be beneficial.

Reminds me of the location of one of the scenes in Ronin - a shoot-out in a Roman arena in France (but not this one).

These have a very nice look to them. Very brave taking a lens that's only f/3.5 to a concert - I'd have wanted something faster.

Yes, folding 120-format cameras with coated lenses is as far back as I'm willing to go.

My wife's family joke that one day I'll turn up with an old box camera with a cloth at the back...

I really like these "peaking through something in the foreground" landscape shots and this one has really excellent tones and composition.

People here may be interested that Ilford just announced the availability of their Kentmere 100 and 400 films in 120 format. These should be a bit cheaper than other Ilford alternatives like FP4+ and HP5+ (on which I believe they're based).

Yeah. Apparently the prices are due to problems obtaining raw materials, in which case at some point they should come down...

So until then I have plenty saved, the only new stuff I'm planning on getting is Gold 200 in 120 as I've been enjoying having a relatively low ISO colour film in medium format.

I don't have my K2DMD to hand but is that controlled by a little wheel on the bottom? I think I put some black tape over that to make sure I never accidentally move it.

I had one of these as my first ever rangefinder. I didn't like the lack of a manual mode, not knowing the shutter speed, the ease with which it could be knocked into Bulb mode (and not notice unless you always press the shutter release really slowly), the 1/500s limitation and it had a size disadvantage over an MX and 50/1.7. I saw no reason to keep it, there are much nicer rangefinders out there for a similar price, such as most of the Minolta Hi-Matic series.

I've never heard of Aviphot. Are they still producing or is this old stock that Rollei are using?

They may well have gone under for all I know. I'm signed up for updates but I don't think I've seen one for at least a couple of years so my best guess is that they've given up on the colour stuff they initially promised. P30 looks nice enough but it's expensive compared to the same quality from Ilford or Rollei.

Is the tap water no good? I use tap water here in Madrid and, while it doesn't taste great, it won't make you ill and it's fine for film development. The only problem is in summer when it's too warm.

That's about the time I got to the Playa De Las Catedrales (Beach of cathedrals) in northern Spain a few years back. You need to time your trip with the tide otherwise you won't be able to access anything other than the clifftops and in summer they have restricted visitor numbers so that's a potential problem too. I got some really nice light though and it's one of the most enjoyable photographic experiences I've ever had. We're heading north in a couple of weeks but will be too far away for another trip there, which is a shame.

What's wrong with polyester-backed films? I have no idea which are or aren't or even if I've ever used any.

I second that. It looks like a place that one could spend hours photographing without getting bored.

What time of day were these taken at, Tuco? It looks like you had some really great light.

I really like the smooth tones in this one. How do you find shooting with such a slow film?

You're getting some great results from that combo.

That second shot is very cool indeed.
