I have the model after the Elan II (which I think is the EOS 50), the EOS 30, and it's very nice. I'd certainly give it a try. I read somewhere that the AF is actually better in the 50 than in the newer 30.
The N90S is supposed to be pretty good too, the model before the well-regarded (apart from the rear latch) F100.

I bought a Miranda camera last September along with a 35/2.8 and, separately, a 50/1.8. The focusing on the 50mm is very stiff indeed and the focusing on the camera is off due to something somewhere being out of alignment. I should really have returned the whole lot but I waited too long and now I'm stuck with it. More items in the "not working" box in my wardrobe.

The Minolta SR-Ts are some of my favourite cameras. Beautiful to look at, hold and use, I have several.
I've come across several Fujica SLRs in the last few years and have yet to buy one. Occasionally they don't work but usually the problem is that the viewfinder is either extremely dim or full of junk.

I'm glad you got your collection down to a reasonable level. :p
In my case processing power would not be an issue, it would just need to have enough security so that no-one could get into it, extract the list and blackmail me by threatening to show it to my wife.

I don't know why, but the Olympus OM cameras really appeal to me. I've never even held one. But likewise, I'd be adding another mount to K, M42, SR, Miranda, EF & Pentax 645.

I probably have between 25 and 30 working, plus a box of a few cameras with problems. The faulty ones are not worth the effort of selling and some of them I may be able to repair one day.
