I think after the last press events it was mentioned that fast charging will not be supported.

It's a remarkable system in DSLRs and will probably work very well here, otherwise there isn't a point in adding it instead of going for WR. It's probably their own trial tests (it's not like they came up with this prototype only yesterday) that proved they can go with SR instead of keeping the body larger and adding WR. Plus someone here was saying they expect the dust to drop at the bottom of the chassis, where it will be picked up by something sticky.
I am just talking my logic here, I don't say these are facts.

Nice, show us pictures from it. You could have had it for £470 with the Pentax summer discounts. Or for £380, had you waited for Mid-to-end-November 2018 from Amazon.

Also, I don't understand people and their arguments like "who needs that when you have a phone". Personally, I can't stand the feeling of shooting with a phone. I often find myself that to take a good shot, the preparation, handling the phone, holding it in the right position so that you don't drop it on the ground, keeping away your fingers and palms from accidentally focusing elsewhere, trying to focus correctly and then pressing the shutter (wherever it's located) while taking into account all other things I just mentioned -- kills the satisfaction of taking snaps. Phones are becoming larger and larger now, not good for one hand and taking snaps at all. We're in a time where people had enough of wasting their money for smartphones - they can wait and change them in 3 or 4 years now. During that time, it's a lot more sensible to invest your money in a real camera if taking and sharing snaps is your thing.
Smartphones brought many people to photography and now smart people want to liberate themselves from smartphone photography...

I think it's a lovely little gem of a camera. Touch AF+Shutter is a big win.
To me it sounds like the price of the GR III will be some 200 EUR/USD (250 max?) on top of whatever the price of the GR II will be at the launch of the III.

BTW, what are the benefits of having 2GB built in memory In a camera? Is this for storing files?

I would assume that part of redesigning the lens has something to do with not sucking up dust too, don't you think?

Since it's still a prototype, maybe they can add it by spring time :)? Even if not, I guess they can apply the ultrasonic sensor shake tech to remove dust too, can't they?
