I would let them know they made a mistake, if their serious about their business they will appreciate the feedback.

Finally found some time to scan my last roll of film. While scanning I found out the lab scratched most pictures, well I wasn't happy with the results so no big deal. This is the first time in about 30 films, so I'll hope it won't happen again.
Here you can see the scratches in the top left corner (crop):
Shot on Fuji Pro 400h with my p645 and 75mm f2.8, scanned with my Epson v500
Same process, only this was shot with my 120mm f4 Macro, and unfortunatly slightly out of focus
Tomorrow i'll develop a roll of b/w, when scanned I'll post them here.

So far for your RAID 1 redundancy I guess
I don't use the same drives for storage and backups, and I'll use only hardware RAID controllers. No problems yet

I'm still printing in my darkroom. But most of my negatives are scanned and from those scans i make a selection of negatives which i want to print. It is a very timeconsuming process but this is the only way to have total control over your image, and it's very rewarding when you see your enlargement hanging on the wall.
I print only MF, but i am trying to find me a 4X5 enlarger, but they are pretty scarce overhere.

I feel lucky indeed, the images were taken with my A35mm f3.5. I'm quite happy with the lens, and with the rest of my new set. The price was also pretty amazing, However the lens shows some distortion, but at very low levels, I did not have to correct these images for barrel distortion.

A few days ago I received my second P645, this time accompanied by two lenses I was looking for, the A35mm f3.5 and the A120mm f4 Macro. The entire set contained a 75mm and 55mm which are in a far better shape than the ones I allready had. So it seems a bit redundant to have two simmilar sets, but I like it!
Some shots, for testing purposes, so again, all shot around the corner from where i live. Shot on Kodak 125PX, developed in Kodak T-max, scanned with my Epson v500, no PP except contrast correction to compensate for scanning.

@Tuco: thanks! The Fuji Provia was pretty old and since I wanted to use some slidefilm for macro shots soon, I shot this roll of film for testing purposes. As a bonus I am happy with some shots.

Whoops, missed this one, sorry about that. I was also suprised about the results from the Ilford 3200, and the result could be better on a bigger resolution, but I'm still learning how to properly scan my negatives.
The speckels on the enlargements are just some dust/i-don't-know-what-material particles sitting on the negative mask from my enlarger. If I just had the patience to carefully remove them this would have been a clean image.

Thank you, about the camera; It's a Certo Dollina, I believe it's from 1936. It's made by a manufacturer from Dresden, Germany.

Same story here, except these are shot on Kodak 125px, scanned from (very dusty :o) enlargements |

Thanks for your reply. I use a v500 from Epson, and their scanninf software as well. A few days ago I downloaded trialversions of Silverfast and Vuescan. These interfaces really need some attention to get used to.
PP is done in PSE8, mostly colorcorrections and sharpening. But i'm still learning...
For B&W I still prefer darkroomprints, I'll see if I can find some examples to share.

Wow, that's sharp...
About scanning: is 1200dpi a good resolution for most images? Because most of the time I scan at 2400dpi, but when I look at this cropped picture I can't see why I should scan at that specific resolution.
May I ask what software you used?

I've been shooting my Pentax 645 for over a year now, so i decided to buy me a scanner. Unfortunatly being on a tight budget I bought not my first choice, the epson v700, but the cheaper v500. I'm very happy with the results so far. So I would like to share them with you guys.

In my enthousiasm I didn't bother the dust on the negatives. I will soon try some other scanning software. These photo's were all scanned using the epson scanning software, I might upgrade to vuescan or silverfast soon. PP is done in PSE9.
My b/w images will be scanned from darkroom prints, but I've been busy lately so I'll post them soon.
