From a recent trip to the UK with the 18-135:
England: Stonehenge, trying out for a part in an Alfred Hitchcock movie (rooks, starlings, jackdaws)...
Scotland: Glenfinnan viaduct in the drizzle (gotta love having a WR system) - anyone see the Hogwart's express?
Wales: Snowdon Mountain Railway - if you've ever read the "Thomas the Tank Engine" stories to your kids, you might recognize this. Number 6 is named "Padarn" and started service in 1922. It uses a dual rack and pinion system to climb the steep grade (max 1:5.5). Notice how the boiler is not parallel to the wheelbase. |

Taken last Saturday, 1/200, f/8, ISO3200 at 135mm with the K-5 handheld. Could have done better, but time was short.
