Well, Pete, I try to keep em in line but sometimes they slip bigger flowers in without me seeing them. I'll try harder!
Crocus are not smaller than a dime either.
dlh, yours you posted here would fit in my other thread, the in between flowers.

Well, heck, there's Pete. LOL Thought he fell off the face of the earth been so long since he's been seen around here.
I have no idea what this flower is, I just know it grows along side the Florida Tassel. Shot with Pentax 35-105 with Raynox DCR-250 on the end of it Pretty in Lavendar by photolady1995, on Flickr

Billy aka Pete, denotes tiny as smaller than a dime. If it's smaller than a dime it fits here.

That's fine Tony. I said you really didn't have to but if you felt you should, that's okay, too.

No, don't delete those you already uploaded, just remember that those bigger than, measured by your thumb to knuckle are too big.

I got to thinking Tony, so yesterday I measured my thumb from first knuckle to tip of it, and it's an inch long. So if you're using your thumb to measure these tiny flowers, you should measure how long your thumb is a the point of your first knuckle to the tip.
Pete said, tiny flowers up to 1/2 across go in here, anything bigger isn't what he wanted. Just saying! ;)

I'll see if any are still out there but I doubt it, as nephew mowed backyard today. I'll see if there are any on the north side.
I'm surprised no one else noticed those dust spots. But I did and have cleaned the sensor since taking this photo. ;)

Need an ID of this one. They grow in abundance in my yard on slim stalks with flowers all along the stem. And they are wild and they are smaller than a dime, as Pete says goes here. |

The lavender one, you posted on the 16th is a crepe myrtle. I have the same bush in my yard, same color, too. The Lantana is the second one you posted with the butterflies. I also have that one in my yard, planted from a twig from a wild bush I found in the woods.

Allen your first one is a Crepe Myrtle, your second one is a Lantana.
TT I'm not sure yours qualifies as smaller than a dime which is what Paleo Pete who started this thread is wanting posted here.

I believe the purple ones fit. We have some of that plant in our yard and I can attest they are very small, dime size at least.
And the message wasn't just for you. :D

Remember when posting flowers here what Paleo Pete wants posted here:
From the first page where he started this thread: Quote: So I thought it might be interesting to start a thread here devoted to tiny flowers. I wanted to keep it smaller than pencil eraser size, but that would probably limit the scope of the thread a lot, so let's make it no larger than dime size, just over 1/2 inch. |

Need ID on this one. It's leaves are not like the Spiderwort, so I know it's not a "white spiderwort" and it's smaller than a dime. It grows on the tip of the plant which leaves are not lily like. It's sort of bush but more vine like. Hard to explain but I'll try to get a photo of the whole plant this afternoon.

My nephew keeps mowing the yard and removing all my wildflowers that fit this category, but I got this one before he mowed. It's a Florida Tassle and smaller than a dime. Shot with Tamron 90mm SP 2 f2.8. |

I got a couple in my new flower garden this year.
I don't know what this first one is, all the flower seeds I planted were supposed to be wildflowers:
Kumquat blossom
another unknown tiny flower:
And was told these tiny flowers are snapdragons:

Pete those look similar but the only one I saw with the petals open, had no tips on the end. The flower itself was star shaped with five petals, each elongated to a point on the end. If you look closely at the one I posted you can see the petal on the left is pointed, not like yours.
