I didn't realize this was so many pages back but I'll post it anyway, my father was born in 1896.

I wish I could find a source for goat's milk here. I'd much rather have that than all the creamers I've been trying in my coffee lately. Nothing seems to taste right.

I raised goats once, and loved goats milk because I couldn't drink regular milk. I made my own cheese and believe it or not butter too from the milk. You can't make butter like you do cows milk because you can't separate the cream from the goats milk. I used a mason jar and just shook it til the butter formed.

It's a sad, sad day for those of us who knew and loved Rupert and his stories. My heart is heavy right now with this loss. I pray for his wife Gail, sons and his mom.

Well, I never said how I felt about bagpipes. The songs I've heard played with them I did like. So, I guess I should state, I like bagpipes or at the music played on them.

Thanks Otis!
I keep my mind active. I moderate five forums, and that keeps me active, mind wise.
My husband and I were together for 20 years before he passed away, and that was 17 years ago. We had no hope of being together for 50 years, though when he was still alive, I had hoped we would. We said we'd grow old together. :(
