I have a question. I own a Sigma 400mm f5.6 AF lens I just bought last week.
AF is a bit iffy and wondered if any one else owns or has owned this lens. I read the reviews on here but, they were the least to say inadequate for my purposes. I know it PF in contrasty areas, against bright light but again that's not a problem as I can clean that up in PP.
This morning I was trying to photograph some squirrels and AF just wouldn't focus on the squirrel. It seemed to lock focus in front of the squirrel thought the lens was pointed at its nose. A few days ago, a member said he thought the lens was back-focusing so I used AF fine adjustment in my K- 50 and set it at +8, it was fine there, until this morning.
Here's a shot I took on the 8th of this month.
Any ideas how to improve AF here?
