I noticed that, but the pin is still stuck, not the Auto/Manual switch, but the actual pin on the mount side of the lens, it is stuck depressed, and will not come out..... so the lens is always in the manual mode. I can move the A/M switch back and forth, it just does nothing when I do it....

A question for the Takumar gurus on here. I have a S-M-C 200mm F4, and the auto/manual pin is stuck. As in, it is only manual. I didn't worry about it before, but now that I have 2 screw mount bodies, I would like to have the auto feature work, I was wondering if this is a common problem? Easy fix?

I have a question regarding Super Taks vs. SMC Taks. My father just picked up an SPII, with two SMC Taks, a 35 3.5 and a 55 1.8. I tried them on my K110D in AV mode, and even +2 EV comp didn't expose correctly, still underexposed, but with my Super Taks, I need a lot less + EV to get good exposures, and on higher F stops, such as F8 and higher, sometimes I need - EV. Is this normal for SMC Taks?

I have that same lens Ira, it's nice !!! here are a few samples for ya. Unfortunately on the Zoo shots, I forgot to change the focal length after I used my 55 1.8, haha, so the exif shows the FL as 55 mm |

If it is in decent shape, that is a very good deal!!! Just try to get the genuine Pentax M42 to K Mount adapter, and you'll be good to go !!

You will need to shoot your flash in "Auto" mode. P-TTL will not work with the Taks, because they do not communicate with the camera. I do not have the 360 flash, I just have a cheap Promaster, but in auto mode, it works well ,as long as you use the settings the flash suggests. For normal flash photography, like people, start with ISO 100, F5.6, and 1/180th shutter speed, and adjust from there.

Well, congrats Simon, I can't top that, but here are a few with my S-M-C Tak 200mm F4, and 56mm of extension tubes, handheld, so not nearly as sharp as they could be. :p |

Guilty as charged Mr. Cash, and to add to the charges, I used my K110D with no SR, and the tiny lil' 6 mp sensor !! I guess I'd better get ready for some hard time at the big house !!!:p
