Yeah, as beautifully made as the Pentax lenses are, nothing compares to the Voigtlanders for me.
Oh, the 20mm is my most recent Voigtlander acquisition and I'm loving it. Highly recommended! Really prone to flare, though, so do yourself a favor and get a hood for it. (I found the metal OEM one on KEH for $12 the other day - score!)

Yeah, I've bought all my Voigtlanders from CameraQuest. Can't understand why people don't use them (over eBay, etc.), unless they just don't know. They're tops, imo.

Here's a good page comparing the Ultron with the DA40 and FA43: Voigtl
(I gotta say, this thread is having the opposite effect I'd thought it would: rather than helping express my general satisfaction with what I've got, it's stoking my desire to get that Ultron!)

Nah, that one's never really moved me, not like the 31 (legendary) and 43 (a great focal length for me) have.
Oh jeeze, just what I need, a reason to go down the M42/Leitax road! Which is actually kinda tempting (damn you!). Trying to get that out of my mind...
Ha! I'd love one (they're ever so stylish) but they're just too dear. But that 125mm 2.5? Sweet..!

I know I don't hold a candle to many of you out there - you know who you are, with dozens and dozens of lenses, always scouring the forums and eBay for more - but I've sort of plateaued in my lens buying. I'm super happy with what I have now. Really, there are only a few things out there that still interest me:
- FA 31mm (of course)
- 50mm 1.2 ('natch)
- FA 43mm (see above)
- 40mm Ultron (which would complete my set of Voigtlander SLII lenses)
I guess I'd like a decent, long telephoto but would rarely use it. My 135mm pretty much meets my needs there. It'd be cool to have a mid- to wide AF zoom (fast) but I'm not really hankering for it. I shoot more and more film lately so FF is a must.
I'll probably try to pick up an Ultron in the next few months before they go away (like other Voigtlanders have), but really I'm good with what I've got. The 31, 43, and 50 1.2 are always something I'll pine after; we'll see if I ever feel the need (or feel flush enough) to pull the trigger.
Anyone else in this boat? Do you have a short list of "what's left"?
