Lens is sold pending receipt of a money order.
Of course I will close the thread at that time.

Thanks Peter!

Please note that the shipping destination has been changed from Worldwide to Canada & USA.
This was done on the advise of someone who has had horrible shipping experiences abroad and didn't want to see me have the same fate.
However, I'm not trying to totally eliminate potential buyers from overseas.
I will consider shipping abroad on a case by case basis.

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Voigtlander Macro APO - Lanthar 125mm /f2.5 SL Asking Price
$1599.00 (USD) Item Location
Ontario, Canada Item Description
It pains me to do this but my Voigtlander Macro - APO Lanthar 125mm /f2.5 SL in Pentax K mount is going up for sale. For those not familiar, this is a manual focus lens! SN 9120888
This legendary lens is listed on this site as one of the 'Bokeh Masters' due to it's outstanding ability to take 1:1 macro shots and render creamy smooth backgrounds. Look below for examples I have taken using this lens. A Google search will no doubt display many other examples taken by photographers far more talented than I. And now it's your turn to make some photographic magic!
I purchased it new in October of 2007 and have used it a fair bit, but just not lately. It is in 'Excellent' condition with 2 minor exceptions. There is a minuscule rub mark on the lens barrel and a tiny spot on the square metal hood. I am being totally honest and have shown both marks in the photos provided below. Both spots are difficult to see unless the lens is held at a proper angle in bright light. Neither affect the performance of the lens in any way. In fact, I think the spot on the hood may have been there from the start. I have taken an soft micro-fibre cloth and very gently rubbed it but it is persistent. I will not pick at it as it may end up worse.
It comes with both caps; a plastic rear cap and the Voigtlander screw-on metal front cap. It also has the square metal hood and accompanying rubber cap. This hood has a bayonet-type mount that fits only this lens. Included is also the original box and Styrofoam protector with the original instructions. Everything is in the pictures below.
I will ship this anywhere within Canada or the USA but the buyer will pay for the shipping.
I will ship by Canada Post with a tracking number and enough insurance to cover complete loss. Do not ask me to devalue the cost (lie) to save you money in duty or other costs. The lens is packed in the original box and then I've wrapped in it bubble wrap and packed it in another larger box with foam bits all around. It is then taped up tightly with yards of packing tape. I can not guarantee that custom official will not open it for inspection; that is obviously out of my control. But suffice to say when I hand it over for shipping it will be as I have described it here. Once a sale has been agreed upon I will then take it to the Post Office for a proper sizing and that will be the amount you will pay. Be patient! Shipping from Canada is s-l-o-w; especially to the USA!

Here are pictures of the lens.
This shows the small rub mark on the barrel of the lens.
This shows the small speck of something on the underside of the metal lens hood.
A close up of the speck on the hood. It looks like a wee drop of glue or something. Honestly, you really have to look to notice it, but it is there.
What you get.
