Too bad you are 200 miles away. I would be pleased to meet up and let you do a test drive with my FA 35/2 if you were closer. FWIW, I sometimes use it for urban and street photography on my manual focus film cameras. Even with the hood mounted, the focus "grip" is not bad once you figure out that it is not in the traditional place and is basically a finger-tip thingie.
