For comparison's sake, a traditional manual focus 70-200/4 with reasonable build quality weighs in at about 24 oz (Pentax-A 70-210/4) to about 30 oz (Tamron SP 70-210/3.5). I own both and while neither is light, both are a heck of a lot easier to work with than the D FA 70-200/2.8 at over 60 oz. The fixed maximum aperture comes at a price weight-wise.

My thoughts as well for list price with eventual street price coming in somewhat lower.

70-200/4...Tokina is the more likely source.
