Let us also not forget macro and close-up work. 1:1 is sooooo mundane on medium format. Yes, the image below is 1:1 on the original negative...

No! No! No!

All equivalence discussions must include S/N ratio expressed in terms of stops and labeled as dynamic range, because as we all know, its not about the optics, its about format and sensel size/density/shape/nation-of-origin. Let us also not forget the appearance of bokeh blobs and highlight spikes and whether one can truly reproduce the look of a 75mm f/2.8 on 645 medium format digital with a 25mm f/1.8 on M43.

Of course, there is also the problem of equivalent ergonomics. ;)
