Hey folks, I just received my (new to me) 77mm limited, I got it for a killer deal at $400. When I got the box, I was thinking wow this this has a bit of weight to it. Once I opened it up I was realizing it was because of the glass and metal construction.
Now......I have never even seen a limited lens in person so I didn't know what to expect, I've even heard how legendary they are........all i can say is WOW!!!! This is the nicest lens I've seen yet, the build quality is just perfect! I am very impressed. Even at full price this lens is totally worth it.
I have collected mostly zooms and have a handful of primes, mostly vintage A lenses and i have a DA 50mm, f1.8, and a DFA 100mm macro f2.8 which i am very impressed with, but compared to this 77mm, it pales in comparison, even though the 100mm is very well built. I popped off a shot with my K1 of a tree and just looking at the image on the camera, I think I will be shooting mostly primes from here on out! Now......where to find me the rest of the 3 amigos.....

Alright folks I have been watching this lens over the last six months in the local pawn shop here in Vegas, folks here sell?pawn all kinds of things to support their gambling habits and I am laying in waiting to pounce on such deals. I normally spot the item, find out how long it has sat in the shop, and then I make a ridiculous offer.
I spotted this mint condition DFA 150-450mm lens six months ago and as you all can see in the pic, the price sticker was originally set at $1800, three months went by and they dropped it to $1460, and I held out even at that good deal, then here it is three months later and I went into the shop and they just lowered the price to $1260! I did a total thorough investigation and verified that it worked perfectly. I then went home and pondered over what I was going to offer for it. I then called them up and made the offer of $1000 out the door(they eat the taxes), they didnt hesitate and accepted the offer! so here I am with a (new to me) lens that I have been jonesing over since it was released.
the guy at the shop said no one ever even came and looked at the lens, he did mention that they have a Pentax shooter that comes by every so often and buys all the old lenses, and that he just glanced at this lens and gave it no more thought.
It is a great thing that Pentaxians are few and far between, because I bet if this was a Canikony lens, it wouldn't have lasted long.
They also have a silver edition K3 with battery grip for sale too(probably got it from the same person that sold them my new lens) with low shutter count that started out at $860, and now it is down to $660. I really dont need a new body (saving up for K1ii) but if it is still there in three months, I am going in and offer them some ridiculous price for it, so I still may end up with it one day, I just really wanted this lens. it is in brand new condition and even has a nice uv filter on it that was used to protect the lens. I took a few shots with it and this lens amazes me.....now I cant wait for the Air Show to come up.

I lost my (new to me)K3/dbg5 grip/55-300 screwdriv lens, and lowpro toploader bag in a home break-in robbery. I barely even used the gear.
Lucked out though, insurance paid replacement cost.
Just scored in the marketplace some sweet items along with replacement camera and body.
Here's what I got-
K3/just 250 clicks
DGB5 grip/also brand new condition.
18-135 zoom new condition/already have one, gonna sell it.
DA 55 f1.8 (not real wild about it, might sell it.
Handheld diffuser
Three different remotes/one is corded
Three different power ND filters 62mm
Three batteries
Giottos rocker blower/cleaning supplies
Hotshoe mount microphone
A cool body flash diffuser kit
32 gb memory card
And a real nice sling style camera bag

All for $700!
All this gear has sat in this bag for three years unused and it is in brand new excellent condition!
I already have a buyer for the zoom for $200 because I already have one, and I will most likely sell the 50mm. So needless to say, there is one happy camper here……!

I apologise for the sideways pic, it's a cell phone pic....I rarely use my cell to take pics
