@Pentaxpete, thanks for sharing the piper. I have a copy of that 200mm f4 Tak and I haven't had a chance to use it yet. (SV still needs some work and my Spotty is, well...spotty). Upshot is, it's a great preview and motivator to get me off my duff and get my screwmount cameras back in good working order.
Best,
Kevin

Made a trip into New York with my dad a couple weeks ago to take a look at the Walker Evans exhibit at MOMA. Dad wanted to walk the Brooklyn Bridge while we were there. Who am I to say "no"? It was a beautiful day and several thousand like-minded souls had the same idea...
Pentax MX, M50 f1.7, Tri-X
Dad with my hand-me-up K100D...
Thanks for taking a look.
Best to all,
Kevin

Thanks for setting the record straight - no foul. (It's still an amazing portrait).

@Nomad_PS, killer portrait. I saw Colton's truck and my jaw dropped. Scrolled down to your portrait and my chin hit the floor. Inquiring minds want to know - what did you shoot this gem with and on what film?

Great stuff, Trevor. Really enjoyed the video and the B&Ws. Thanks for the inspiration. There's something "going on" in all the shots, particularly the portraits.

Vendee, nice work with the M50 f1.7. The more I shoot it, the more I like that lens. Bravo.

You must be the devil. Where are you hiding the horns and the tail? I'll keep cruising CraigsList, the marketplace here, and my local camera shop. Sooner or later, lightning will strike and I will own a medium format Pentax. It will be mine. MWAHAHAHAHAHA.

Kevin

You guys (Colton, Phil, and Tuco) are killing me with these beautiful medium format shots. It's on my to-do list, but I haven't yet found the right camera for the right price. For the nonce, I'll just have to enjoy the vicarious thrills you are all so generously providing.

Kevin

@hollywoodfred, I'd never dispute advice from Jussi, but I'm with you; scan at the highest res possible because you're probably only going to do this once (and storage is relatively cheap these days). I scanned my dad's slides and wish I had done them at higher res than I did.
Best to all,
Kevin
P. S. Meant to lead with how much I enjoyed the kitchen shot. I'll be looking forward to your subsequent posts.

Colton, a rose by any other name...or color, for that matter . Nice shot with the SV. Just out of curiosity, what are you using for a meter (or are you just working out of your head)?
Best,
Kevin

Jussi, I want points for recognizing McSorley's from the ketchup bottles :D. Had my suspicions confirmed as I scrolled down. Nice series. I miss the cheap BW400CN 3 packs I used to get at Walmart. They're still carrying Fuji's consumer films in 400 and 200 asa, but have quit carrying Kodak. I was looking through the archives the other day and realized how much I enjoy the photos I've shot with that film.CVS carries single 36 exp. rolls, but at a grossly inflated price and it never goes on sale. it's easier to pick up a roll of TriX at my local photo store. Plus I still have a roll of Acros in my fridge.
Best,
Kevin
