Wow! This is nice.
I wasn't a fan of formal portraits from this lens. You have to work hard to get a decent portrait, but it's possible. Also as mentioned it can be good for street shooting. I also think it may be a better portrait lens once Pentax adds more focus points in the VF, making them smaller and more accurate. With such a wide angle of view, I found that some of my portraits were a little soft near the subjects eyes if I wanted a full body shot from a distance. Up close, it was much sharper. I no longer own the 15 as I traded it for the FA* 24, much better than the 15 for portraits in my opinion. Nice. I tried this on the merry-go-round at the park with the DA 17-70 and was sick for a few hours after so much spinning!
