Not really. I used to have the Sony 16mm pancake on my old NEX-5 (I gifted my whole 2 lens NEX-5 kit to a young relative), but would be hard pressed to say that I ever noticed any practical difference in working field of view between 16mm and 19mm. The Sigma 19mm is also much better optically than the Sony 16mm, FWIW. Not much point having a wider field of view if the edges of the image are not adequately sharp, and may even be quite distorted ...

The 19mm is very handy as a walk around lens due to it's easy shooting DOF and close focus ability, and it's also good for landscapes and nature. The 30mm is also very nice for general shooting.

The NEX system pictures thread here has a bunch of pictures from lots of people using lots of lenses, including some pix of mine using the 19, 30 (and 60mm) Sigma's last year.

The Sigma 19mm 2.8, 30mm 2.8 and 60mm 2.8 are all compact designs, in-expensive and great optically. I recommend them all. I think the total amount I spent on all three was about $500. The f2.8 isn't much of a handicap since NEX's generally handle low-light very well.
