FWIW, recently my (out of warranty) Sigma 70-200 HSM II mount flange was also quickly and efficiently modified by the local Australian Sigma distributor.
The required parts now seem to be widely available for all the Sigma lenses that need to be turned into 'non-scratchers'.

In Australia the national Sigma distributor is also the long term Pentax distributor. If any Aussies have any K-1 and Sigma problems, hopefully that will make any necessary fixes easier to arrange.

There seem to be reports of it working on the K-1, and reports of it not working. It seems like a case of try it and see.
I am also a 70-200 HSM II owner, so when I get a K-1 it will be the first lens I test.

Very good to hear!, since I have those two Sigma's.
Maybe the Oz Sigma's have newer firmware that the others we've heard about in this thread.?
Now I'm running out of excuses for delaying my K-1 order ...

Me too. Pls let us know how the lens performs on the K-1.
I will be very happy if it works normally. I've had no problems with it on the K-3/K-5/K-x.
