If you plan on doing a lot of event video, you should probably look into investing in one of these:

Ronin-M ? Lightweight, Handheld 3-Axis Camera Gimbal*- DJI

or one of these:

Osmo ? Reimagine Movement - DJI

The Ronin in particular can help create awesome, free-flowing DSLR action video.
