Ugh. YouTube gasbags. 20 minutes of video verbiage that could be covered by 1 paragraph of text.
Best to wait until end Sept, when regular photogs are able to use the camera, and will start reporting.

I expect we will soon see Canon join the fray, and open another front against Sony in this FF mirrorless war.

I like the new 'Focus shift shooting' feature they have added to the z6/z7 menu:
"Set the number of shots, focus step width (the amount of shifted focus distance with each shot) and interval between shots".
3rd party software is still required to combine the stack, however. Not done in camera.
This capability could be added to a Pentax firmware update easily enough, methinks.

I guess though that there is a real risk that the 'writing is on the wall' now for Nikon's conventional DSLR lineup and the F mount. Just like it was for Sony's A mount once E-mount mirrorless evolved and started getting most of the Sony camera division's attention and resources. A-mount is still alive, but all the new stuff comes in E-mount.
Same thing will probably happen to Nikon - F mount won't be killed off directly, but if the Z series takes off, F mount will be left to wither.

Nikon pricing rarely plummets downwards. They will hold the line as long as possible on price. Being FF only, they are clearly pitching this as prosumer mirrorless, not 'soccer mom' mirrorless, so they will feel comfortable charging a premium.

I have a A6000, and the back and front of these Nikon's looks very similar to it, and Sony's in the A7 series too. The flippy screen, the top plate, even elements of the front grip. In design terms, they have essentially grafted a few Nikon buttons onto a Sony body. Not a criticism of either manufacturer - the design choices work OK (except for the lens mount button).
I have a few Nikon's at hand. These mirrorless models just won't feel the same - the smaller size is just never going to deliver the same hand-feel as a regular Nikon DSLR. Button placement is also clearly more squished up on these mirrorless bodies.

The way those Nikons look - design, ergonomics - you may as well buy a Sony A7 series mirrorless. Be cheaper too.
And compared to these Nikons, a Sony will have the lens mount button on the correct [ie Sony/Pentax] side of the body (the right side, when looking from above, not the left, like Nikon), and the lens bayonet will turn the correct way too. That difference drives me crazy whenever I change lenses on a Nikon, particularly as a right-handed person.
