I'm reasonably happy with the 3 of my K3.
That's the bit that appeals to me, the ability to zero the tweaks of 1 user mode without resetting the others, by just reassigning the same saved settings to the same switch position.

Re. User modes.
Perhaps a better option would be to have Stored User modes that can be assigned to switch positions.
So you could have say 10 Stored User modes but still only 3 (or 4 or 5) switch positions.
Then you could assign SU3 (BIF) to U2 and SR7 (Sunset) to U1 etc.
This would also let you re-assign a Stored User mode to the same switch position, re-setting it to the saved settings without turning the camera off and losing any changes to other user mode switch positions.
