Shot with a Takumar 500mm 4.5 lens. This bazooka is big and heavy, but great for this sort of work.

Here one from a SMC Takumar 135mm 2.5, part number 43812.
Something about this lens wide open, it's really nice.

The nice things about these later 55mm 1.8s is how buttery smooth they are wide open... Anyone have an early SMC version with the knurled ring they want to sell?

I finally screwed up enough courage to post something from my sea of so-so Takumar shots. I grabbed this one today, I thought I'd toss it in.
A S-M-C 50mm f1.4 on a K20D... too bad it was high noon, but we do with what fate gives us. I like the longhorn's attitude.
