paulh, that is great to see the old Trek out there. What a pretty place to ride you have there too. Yeah, brining the DSLR is something I have not done yet on a ride but am planning on trying to do that. Need a tough bag in case of a fall (I seem to fall a lot). Thanks for sharing.

BJake, Oh man, the higgins is there just begging to get back on the road. Rack, fenders, and is that a pannier rack on the front? Needs some TLC
Matt, you have photos of yours?

RollsUp, that kid in the snow is a beautiful shot.
Matt, Unsettled but nice today between showers, great shot and OMG, I am not going to look at your riding shots anymore. You should see what we have here in Nor Cal, not even close. Jealous!!!

Middle of everywhere if that is where you ride, I would say.

jgredline, that is a great catch. The guys in the background, their drab colorless-ness and her being in the light with nice color etc. all just work so well.
She might forgive you if you could get the shot to her. Anyway, really like this.

Hey that is slick (basket insert). Of course I was really wanting to point out how nice that lady blends color and bikes in her photos but I see your point with that basket. Before, yeah, nothing would be good in that. The high wall insert thing is the way to go.
BTW, anyone, I was out walking in downtown today and got a few bike photos, so probably I will be subjecting you to them soon :)

Since my contribution to this thread was mostly not a pentax photo (though the purple bars was) gonna add some done with a Pentax (the FA 50mm f1.4 is probably obvious in these) |

Oh yeah I forgot about the butt part. Muscles will be a little tender for a while too but while out on the ride it will all be okay and some beer later can fix the rest :)
Thanks about the xtracycle and it can be fast depending on the load :) It has a generator in the front hub for the light and I'll tell ya, on the way home there are a couple hills that with the kid on the back and his gear and my office gear we are so heavy and slow that I don't think the thing makes enough power to light the light.
Below zero demands short commute I would think. Good for you commuting year round. I do too but I may have to miss some days in heavy rain with the kid on now, we'll see how he does. Zero would probably mean Bus or Train though it is not happening here in San Francisco.

That ol Trek looks restless. Get some water in there (frozen or not) and hit the trails, the bike (and your body) will love you for it.

Sorry Tamia my machine died and was off for a while.
Oh, yeah I built it and the kids LOVE it. We are commuting on it all together and where I used to have trouble getting the oldest out of pre-school (school way more fun than dad) now he almost runs to the bike, telling all his friends about the bike along the way. Xtracycle really changed my life. After the kids schools got so far apart I thought I would have to stop riding all together but this bike has brought it all back together.
Thanks for the comment

Had to get the kids out on rides with me and the Xtracycle seemed the best option. Commuting on this now, and picking up both kids on the way. |

Just some bike on the street. A nice color for bar tape I thought. |

Nice to see biking all over the place. I ride in San Francisco almost daily, currently riding a Surly 1x1. This is setup with 650b wheels which is quite a different feel. Diggin the biguns. 29 must be a blast. |
