And I was happy when I got 40 rolls home! 100 rolls, WOW! You basically have an infinite supply of film for a considerable time forward!

Very nice Jason! Old wood on B&W is fantastic. And yes, the Vasa is well worth seeing, even if you aren't interested in history.
Anyway, here's two recent shots of mine. Pentax LX and Velvia.

16 rolls... Wow you've been busy. I like the last shot, interesting composition.
Developed a roll of Kentmere100 pushed to 400 yesterday, stand developed in Rodinal. Here's two form that roll. K35/3.5 @ f/8 K135/2.5 @ f/4 |

I was bored yesterday evening so I shot a roll with the Contessa-Nettel Cocarette. Tri-x pushed to 3200 and stand developed in Rodinal. Quite underexposed, it seems my light meter isn't very accurate in low light.
I hardly saw anything through the tiny viewfinder when it was getting dark, for example I missed the not so small wooden beam in the upper right corner of the first shot... But it's still a fun camera to shoot with. |

Here's a few from my latest roll. I wasn't happy with the result of Kentemere 100 normal developing in rodinal so I tried stand developing it instead. This on the other hand I am fairly pleased with. All shot with the KX. K28/3.5 wide open Cambron 18-28 @ 18mm and f/11 K35/3.5 @ f/8
K35/3.5 @ f/5.6
Agnostic: The thread moved forward before I had time to comment on your pics on the previous page, really nice photos all of them. I seem to like most of what you put forward so keep em' coming.

That is pretty impressive, looks like strong sunlight and still almost everything is there, from deep shadows to strong highlights.
Thanks!
Aah, that might be. I'm a low ISO film guy usually, but even I realised that shooting ISO 100 film at an event like that is less than ideal. So I had to think of something. Swift1 I like that first shot a lot. Very nice "dirty" sky if you understand what I mean.

Ok here's another one. Yes the shadows are not much to hope for when pushing to 6400. I noticed that exposure was quite critical, underexposure was pure suicide. But overall very impressed by the performance of this combination.
Tmax is a really nice film, I mostly use the ISO 100 version and like it a lot. Tri-x @6400 for 2 hours in Rodinal

Did you notice any clear differences in adding the Xtol? What ISO do you shoot at?
Damn, I might have missed that line between the K and the X... Yes now I'm sure of it, I mistook the Extreme-III card for Tri-X also! This must be a digital picture :p
I like the Ektar picture, that light blue water makes me want to swim in it. Though it's probably ice cold.

Fittingly mehanikaloptikal posted some high ISO pictures above, nice ones also. I just finished a high ISO experiment I had been thinking about for a while.
Shooting Tri-x at 6400 and stand developing it in Rodinal. I was really surprised by the results! I was expecting grain the size of a smaller house and no grey scale at all. Tri-x @6400 for 2 hours in Rodinal

Nice pic there Swift. Background is a little busy but I think it works out fine. What shuttertime did you use on that one?

Yes, full manual is the way to go. Meter of the highlights that still isn't crazy light like the sun etc. and you get something exposed right at least. That's the way I usually do it. Haven't used auto exposure since I got the camera and tested that it worked. With AE lock I think I'd use it more.

Nice pics Javier, like the one with Edward especially.
Thanks!
Thanks. Yes I like backlight, somehow makes for a more interesting shot.
Thanks. Slide is rewarding when you get it right. I'm still working on getting shots of snow right on slide, really thin line to walk on when you need to overexpose the snow but you cannot afford to blow any highlights.

Wow! Great shot Nesster! Love the tension between the kid and the dog. And to get a shadow leading your eyes from the kid to the dog that's just a lovely bonus!

Nesster, that shot is wonderful! I also like the second one of the macro shots! Somewhat strange bokeh but still very nice.
I recently got hold of a Rolleiflex that belongs to the student photo association in which I am. I didn't know it existed (even though I'm chairman of the association), it had been sitting on a shelve for the last couple of years and at first we couldn't close the finder. When we at last got the damn thing shut we couldn't open it again! (This is where the panic struck). But after taking it apart and fixing some things it now works reasonably well. I really liked shooting with it and can see why the Rolleis have become so popular!
Anyway here are a couple of shots. Tried Tri-X in Neofin Blue but I'm not convinced by this combination. Any thoughts on developing Tri-X in Rodinal? Good? Bad? Indifferent? (I know, I know, I should get myself some D-76 but now I happen to have Rodinal at home)... LARGER SIZE LARGER SIZE |

Great shot Agnostic!
Does your Ikonta look a little like this?
Sounds like they have quite much in common. Anastigmat 6.3 lens, mosquito size finder mounted on the lens. This is a Contessa-Nettel Cocarette from 1919-1926. From 1926-1929 it carried the new company name Zeiss Ikon Cocarette.
Here's a pic taken with it: |

Nice pics Agnostic, is the sepia tone a result of processing or have you added it in PS?

Thanks! I have shot quite a bit of B&W lately but recently got home three rolls of Velvia from processing and it again reminded me why I call this my favourite film! It's fantastic, but can be hard to scan.

@Javier: First though "wait a moment... these look like velvia... doesn't he usually use just cheap colour negative?!..." then I checked the description, seems you have found velvia now also. Good pics! I like the middle one most because of the strong green and blue colours and simple composition.

Here's a couple I just got back from processing. Long expired and maltreated Fuji Superia 400 shot with Lubitel 1. Performing quite well despite the uncoated (and indeed cracked!! lens), and if you're wondering about the strange purple stray light at the upper corners it has a cracked back also... |
