It's distressing to be on the receiving end of 'reverse racism'. But as I dab the tears away from my male caucasian face, I am comforted by the fact that the sort of racism that really counts, is generally working in my favour.

I think it's extraordinary to put Obama's high polling down to racism. Black voters are bound to be enthused by a black president, you can call it racism if you want but it's clearly different than the racism directed AT Obama by whites.... you know exactly why this is - don't pretend that black people haven't been historically suppressed or that echoes of that suppression don't still affect people's lives and expectations today.
But it also happens that Obama's political positions and style are popular... I don't think you'd be seeing a landslide of support for Alan Keyes or Herman Cain if they went up against say, Clinton.
Hey, perhaps Obama's so good that 95% of the whole population would vote for him, if they weren't subconsciously racist.
