Weight, balance, ability to load a filter, extra but if reach at 35mm. Those were my main reasons for getting the 16-35. I'm primarily using it to shoot for a cycling magazine and want the ability to load a filter to prevent damage from rocks and stuff

I just got a gift card for my local camera shop that is worth quite a bit... and I need help spending it, this will be to expand my D800 kit only. It would make sense if I listed my current kit: D800, 24mm f2.8 G, 16-35mm f4 Tokina, 80-200mm f2.8 AF-S, 50mm f1.8 G, 85mm f1.8 G, 50mm f1.4 Planar T Zeiss.

Option A)
Nikon 135mm f2.0 DC
Nikon D800 battery grip
Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 G
2 SanDisc Extreeme 32gb cards

Option B)
Nikon 135mm f2.0 DC
Nikon D800 battery grip
Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 DI VC
Nikon 28mm f1.8 G (trade 24mm f2.8 D)
2 Sandisc Extreeme 32gb Cards

So it's a $3000 aprox budget including the 135mm DC which HAS to be included. Any other ideas?
