thanks!
I used a strobe. Specifically: B1 Off-Camera Flash
Not mine. I wish it was mine... I so badly wish I owned one of these after using one today. No modifier, just the frosted glass front.
Incredible light, makes everything else I've used look like a cheapo entry flash gun. I guess thats why it's $2700 with the trigger...

EMP Fall Shoot 1 by LK_335, on Flickr
FA 31mm Limited on a K3 with a Prophoto B1 providing fill light. My favorite shot of the day during a networking meet for local photographers and models.

Just got my 31 on Thursday. Been enjoying it so far. Much wider than what I'm used too. I'm no where near used to getting this close to my subjects, its making me adjust my style quite a bit. Before the shortest I would shoot is in the 50 range. My 77 limited and 50-135 being my two most used lenses. So this is a treat, very different. I can't believe how sharp this thing is....
Anyways, some from the weekend! March 01 by LK_335, on Flickr March 01 - b by LK_335, on Flickr LX burst by LK_335, on Flickr black eye by LK_335, on Flickr four way by LK_335, on Flickr March 03 - 2013 by LK_335, on Flickr

I hate you guys. I want the 31 so bad now it's not even funny! I'm trying so hard to not want to buy a lens next month....but this website and these pictures just aren't helping! I want something wider and beautiful.....
anyways, for those that want the 77, I decided to jump on the guitar theme. While mine isn't as exotic as the others posted here...it is made of exotic Koa wood. :)

is it better? or just different?
The 55mm DA* looks to render some great sharpness, bokeh, and color. The 43mm limited seems to do much of the same, just in a wider FL. The DA* has been said to cover the FF, so if that unicorn of a camera ever comes around then that path is safe. the 55 is also cheaper. But autofocus is a lot slower.
hard decision for me. I rarely use my 40 due to the 2.8 speed and the shorter FL as I usually shoot 50, 77, or 28mm most often. I figure I would get more use out of the 40 if it was faster so I could use it to shoot live music. The 55 autofocus is too slow for that scenario.
maybe I just need both :)

That's what I'm seeing too.... I'm just wondering if it's worth trading up for?
It's either the limited 43 or DA* 55.

The 43 appears to be way sharper, better contrast, and over all better rendering than the DA 40 2.8... is it worth it?
