Unable to take many pix in these recent weeks. Work, work and shorter days are my enemies.
But I was able to take this one on my lunch break. Leaving the ridgetops by citrusjig, on Flickr

Lovely images Mike. Really like the second one. A lot of great movement that brings the viewer up close. Sure is a gorgeous locale. Must have been a great trip. :)

Tremendous shot, Falke. The composition and the characteristics of the lens really bring the viewer in. Great use of the Sigma.
Lovely images, Tamia. Love the fall colors you have captured. "From whence they came" really speaks to me.

Thanks Mike for your comments.
Also enjoyed your image of Lombard St. which I remember having to drive through unexpectedly on my first trip to the city. It was an adventure and I never had the chance to revisit it on foot.

Beautiful image kengoh.
So I am setting off in the Single in March Challenge (here on PF) with the Sigma 10-20mm f4./5.6. Finally a self-imposed chance to really work this lens for the first time since I got it. Let see how I fare.
Here is Day 1. Any suggestions/critiques welcome. Where old asphalt roads go to die by citrusjig, on Flickr

Been admiring this thread for awhile. Marvelous work all around.
Got me a Sigma 10-20mm in the process.
I find this lens hard to work with. My copy feels real soft. Sometimes it looks like one side is out of focus compared to the other. This issue decreases when I use f22 and f32 for my better captures but that is real slow in many instances.
It is much harder to work with than the DA 10-17mm that I am more comfortable working with.
Any ideas or suggestion are more than welcome. And thanks for the prior posts on this thread because I have learned a bunch. A real gem of information.
So here's a couple of my better efforts.
Maybe I just need to work with this lens further. |
