The leading lines in the second pic are pretty darn good/effective also. The reflection in the rails and the black silhouette of the wires above draw the eye into the photo. Kudos!

MRH,
You're second photo freaks me out in a good way, like "OMG! Where are her arms?" But that photo and the 4th photo both capture the essence of swim meets. Your 1st does too, but it seems lightened too much. What would the Nikon D3 give you that you don't already have? What body are you currently using?
