In regards about kicking myself for a 50mm f2, i think its not the f2, its just rather because i would have thought i got a good deal on an 1.2. ^_^.
There is one right now in the market place for some 400 dollars! :eek:

Thanks all!

I didnt know the 50 mm 1:2 is actually f/2...that would have made me kick myself if i had purchased one.
I am trying to understand the math that lowell described. I get the calculation, but i am not sure i understand the 24mm image size. Thats an awfully small image, so i am guessing its not the actual image per-se ...what is it?

Hi...

I have been looking around 50mm, i hear its very good for head/shoulder shots. But what if i want to have full body shots, you know, the types you'd put on fashion magazines?;) Any recommendations?

Also, in terms of 50mm, why are the pentax-m 50 mm 1.2 cheaper than the 1.4? i am looking at them going for 50 dollars on ebay...isnt it a faster lens?
