Thanks Ismael.
I am doing okay. I can't shoot any longer, but I have a ton of photos from over the years that I have never posted so I still have something to share :D

My dad loves using it. He was never really into photography until he read (looked at) my book. I mean, he always liked my photos but I think that through my book he started to understand my photos more and he started to think about photography a lot more. One day we were talking about my book and the photos in it, and I thought he might really enjoy photography so I offered him my old Olympus E-P1. He started to get into it and so then I thought he might enjoy shooting film. I had just acquired the IIIa and I really couldn't use it so I gave it to him. He really loves using the Contax... then last Christmas I gave him one of my Rolleiflexs... :D

Contax IIIa with Zeiss Planar 35/3.5

I bought this Contax last year but I can't really use it, so I tricked it out a bit and then gave it to my dad. After I gave him the camera (with the Sonnar 50/1.5) I found the Planar 35mm for him.
It sure is a gorgeous kit!

Yes, the Contax II/Kiev has a longer rangefinder base than the post-war Contax IIIa and IIa.

My recently acquired Contax IIIa and Zeiss Sonnar 50/1.5 next to my Soviet built Kiev-2a and Jupiter-8 50/2. The Kiev and Jupiter-8 are essentially a Contax II and Zeiss Sonnar 50/2 so these cameras are kinda like first cousin.
They are sitting on a Japanese styled bench that I made using only hand tools (no power tools) way back in 2007.

I really shouldn't be buying any more cameras, as I can't really even use the ones I have, but I recently ran across this IIIa and CZJ Sonnar 5cm f/1.5 in mostly excellent condition. The rangefinder patch is a bit faint, but the price of the kit was such that I couldn't not buy it :)

Thanks. So far I am really happy with the GW690. How do you like the 90mm compared to the 65mm. I can see how it makes sense to have both. I'm impressed with the lack of distortion in the 90mm.

The cameras that came before the S2 (D, Z, and S) had the focusing system that you're talking about. With the S2, Bronica did away with that system and changed the body/lens mount so that a focusing helicoid was mounted to the body, then the lens was mounted to the focusing helicoid. The system was designed so that all the lenses retained the original Bronica lens mount.
I suspect that your camera a Bronica S, and not an S2.

That makes sense about the tour group industry.
Yes, having a fixed lens is not as limiting as it might seem. I learned that with a Rolleiflex.
Right now, if I had to choose only one camera and lens to use, I would pick my M2 and a 35mm lens, so the GW690 is perfect for my needs. It's basically a medium format version of my M2 kit :)

I've had a Bronica S2 for almost 10 years. It's a great camera!

Ya, I've had a Pentax 67 and 5 lenses for 10 years now, as well as my Kodak Medalist II, so the Fuji seemed a bit redundant, but in the past few years I have really taken to rangefinder cameras, plus the P67 is just a bit big and heavy for my wheelchair camera mount. I have taken photos with the 67 on the wheelchair mount, but it's far from ideal. The Medalist is great on the wheelchair mount, but it's a complicated camera for helpers to deal with, and 620 is an issue since I am unable to reroll myself.
The Fuji GW690 works well on my wheelchair mount, is a really simple camera to operate, takes easy to get 120 film, plus it has my favorite 2:3 format.

Mine is the first gen. GW690. I would have liked a GW690II, but the price on this GW690 was hard to beat.
I was surprised when I first learned (years ago) that these cameras didn't have meters, but now that is actually a plus in my book. I almost never use a meter, and I have learned to appreciate the simplicity of a camera with no electronics.
Maybe they put "Professional" on them because you actually need to know some things to operate them :D

I'm pretty excited with it. It's a seriously huge camera! You don't really get a sense of the size until you actually see it. It works pretty well on my wheelchair mount.I went out and shot the first 3 frames with it today, but it's quite cold out today. I will have to wait a few days for it to warm up outside before I can finish the roll.

I would love to find a nice AP or S or K, with a 58/2.4

You should give a chance and shoot with it :)
Everyone I know that shoots with the OM-1 seems to really like them.
A friend gave me his old OM-1N last year. I gave it to my daughter so I haven't shot with it, but it's a pretty cool camera.
