I appreciate everyones input. For now I am leaning towards the DA* 300mm and keeping the DA* 50-135mm. I dont want to lose the 2.8 of that lens and the images from the 300mm blows me away. Plus like someone earlier said when I throw a teleconverter on its best to stick with the prime lens.
But hey, tomorrow I might change my mind, but for now I am saving money and searching for a used Penyax DA* 300mm.

What I have:
Pentax DA* 16-50mm f2.8
Pentax DA* 50-135mm f2.8
Pentax FA 31mm f1.8
Pentax DA 50mm f1.8
Pentax FA 77mm f1.8
Pentax SMC 55-300 f4 - 5.8
What I want :
Pentax DA* 300mm f4
or
Pentax 60-250mm f4
What I shoot:
Dogs, birds, general wildlife, landscape, nature
I planned on selling the SMC 55-300mm to replace it with the DA*300mm, but then I was thinking I can sell the DA* 50-135mm and SMC 55-300mm and buy the DA* 60-250.
This would save me money, but then I would be losing the faster 50-135 and also losing 50mm in distance. I do plan on buying a 1.4 teleconverter in the near future for either the 60-250 or the 300.
What would you do?
