dadipentak . Thats a great photo . its so sharp and clear . I tried to take some grade school basketball photos with my k10d with a pentax 100mm 2.8 and I found that I needed it wide open and a shutter speed of 250 or more and iso at 800 and higher . I had it set on TAv mode But on my k10d the photos had a lot of noise so much I hated to share them. What camera and settings did you use . It was my first try at indoor basketball and I was taking photos for my 2 nephews .Do you think the K3's iso setting will help with the noise. I'm ready for a new camera to put my sigma 70-200 2.8 on lol.

Thanks Blue that sounds good . I think a lot of people put a tc on this lens for wild life shots also. So I'm hoping there will be a lot of that and sport action shots indoors and out . I can't wait to see what people can do with this lens . Mine is now wrapped up till Christmas ,I couldn't talk her out of it .

Well Blue looking at the page amount on the Lens club it looks like Sigma lens has way more interest than pentax lens for instance a pentax lens da 14mm lens club 13 pages . And most other Pentax pages even less. Sigma 10-20mm club 204 pages Sigma 8-16mm club 34 pages and this one 56 pages ect. I think there are a lot people out there with the sigma 70-200 2.8 lens . I don't under stand why you would ask that when other Pentax lens clubs have less than 1 full page and the Club was opened ,and its a Pentax forum. Will the Pentax specific lens club with less than one page be shut down . What are the requirements for a lens club to be open. Is it if less than 5 photos are submitted to the new club then after a month it will be closed ? Look at the contax lens club 930 views . sigma views 470,611 in one club , 105,982 in another and 113,555 in yet another. I guess no one knows for sure what kind of (interest ) a individual lens club will get .I might have miss under stood but I though that the lens club was for individual lens and not just grouping them into Manufactures name brands lens like Pentax, Sigma , Tamron ect. If you open the door to one individual lens then you should not be prejudiced against any other lens , popular or not . I typed Sigma 70-200 in the search bar and got back 300 pages of posts .I sure would be nice to just go the a sigma 70-200 lens club page and read and look at photos from the lens I want to read about instead of having to go through 300 pages of miscellaneous lens post having nothing to do with the 70-200 lens when you do a search.
