I got a Fuji GW690II a little bit ago which is pretty amazing with a fixed 90mm f/3.5:

Though it and my Mamiya RZ died on a really windy beach in Big Sur (repaired the former and had to send in the latter).

Of course my Pentax digital clicked away happily while my 645N was back at home taking a break.

Yeahhh, that's a little too slow for shooting aerial. If I'm on a cessna going 150 mph at 2k feet, a several second exposure is out of the question. Based on experience I don't like shooting less than ~1/250 with my 50mm on my K7 (so 75mm on 35mm) at low altitudes.

I'll improvise something for film, certainly, with a test roll in the first flight or if I fly commercially before then. I've been meaning to shoot IR for fun on the ground too, I just got to pick up a filter - probably this weekend.

Oh, this isn't my first BW roll. I did started developing at home this year when I got a 4x5 - though I've rarely used it.

I shoot with my 645N all the time, but I wanted a nice studio camera to take outdoors because the sync was pretty dismal. I'll also be the first to admit I'm lazy about finding dust - but I really should use more content-aware fill. Good point.

Thanks! Probably, though camera RAW is a lot better suited for aerial photography from my experience. I've shot a few slides and a roll of ektar, but there's less freedom. FWIW, I use silverfast.

I've never shot IR, but that'd be really good for aerial photography. I'll prob pick up some thick red filter (I hear 4-5 stops is good) and shoot pushed SFX 200. On the other hand, can getting psuedo-IR from RAW is a snap.

From the first roll off my Mamiya RZ67 on Acros with the 110 f/2.8.

A few rolls later with the same lens on Provia 100.

I realized how razor fine dept of field is on 67 wide open and messed up too many shots :(

I know how it is. I shot a roll of FP4 which was supposed to be somewhat contrast-y and most the roll came out like flat despite what were some otherwise good shots. I've just kicked myself for not having the color filters because I'm cheap and didn't get them.

Yeah, digital touch up is a must do. I can't imagine posting straight scans if only for dust. I normally just do a little level touch up on my other shots (my scanner gives a reddish cast to color film) in addition to some sharpening.

dont mean to give unwanted crit, you should have put in a blue or yellow/red filter to bring out some contrast (depending how you want to tone what i guess).

so here's a few i took today at a rally against wars...or stuff in general i guess:

not particularly good, but something that bears posting:
