Two shots taken yesterday at a local nature preserve. The leaves have just started to change into their Fall colors, but the mushrooms were everywhere.

Pentax K5, Tamron 90mm lens, RAW, PP using ACR & Topaz Adjust.

Spiders are active and busy this time of year. Found this web in the field behind my home this morning. Gave it a little misting for the shot.

Woke up this morning to find the electricity knocked out due to a passing night time thunderstorm ( no complaints, it's been very dry this summer ).
Went out into the field behind my house with the Meyer Optik Trioplan on my K5. It's an old German made lens that when used wide open at f2.8 produces this "soap bubble" bokeh. I had a tough time finding one with a m42 mount in the USA, but was lucky to get a nice copy from an eBay Germany seller. I like the bubble effect, but some do find it too distracting.

Little bored this morning, so I put the 100mm / f2.8 Meyer Optik Trioplan on my K5 for a walk in the field behind my house.

Went for a walk at a local nature preserve with only my K5 and Tamron 90mm lens for the sole purpose of having a little macro fun. This was the last pic of my 90 minute walk and turned out to be my favorite. I don't know what type of wildflower this is, but five of them could fit on a U.S. quarter coin.

PP using ACR and Nik Color Efex.

Stuck around the house today while my van is being repaired. Took a walk in a nearby field with my Tamron 90mm macro lens.
PP using PSE 9 and Topaz Adjust.

I can't even remember the last time I used this lens. Shame on me - I forgot how wonderful its images can be. It's staying on for a while now that Spring is here and the flowers are starting to come out.

Helios 44-2 wide open on my K5

Mornings with the dew and rising sun are the perfect combination to get the most from my Meyer Optik Trioplan 100mm lens. When wide open at f2.8 it creates the "bubble" effect.

The bitterly cold weather has me trapped inside. Trying to get the feel of a newly acquired Meyer Optik Trioplan 100mm f2.8 lens. Took a few pics of some artificial flowers and one of my wife's statues. The bubble bokeh may not be to everyone's taste but I love it and is the sole reason I bought the lens.

Thanks for sharing. There's just something mystical about those circular highlights. I'll do some research regarding vintage manual lenses and hope I can find one that isn't too expensive. Appreciate your time helping me.

Hi margriet,

Really like your images. I'm trying to learn how to get those circular highlights. Would you mind sharing your info regarding lens, f-stop, etc.
Thanks

While raking up the Fall leaves, I noticed there's not much life left in the garden ... a couple of old hydrangea flowers trying to hang on for a bit longer ...

Went inside, grabbed my K5 and Pentax FA 50 / 1.4 . This pic shot at ISO 200 / f2.0 / 1/1000. It's a windy day.

PP with ACR and Topaz Adjust
