Mr. Onion you are so fortunate? You met someone that 'made your day' then turn around and 'made someone's day'. Sorry to hear your family had to experience a person in serious need of happy pills and manners. On the lite side you were able to make him feel superior and you did your 'good deed' for the day. His $3000 camera might be like me buying a big cc supercharged turbo motorcycle which would be way to much power for my skills.

The 110 cameras come to mind. OK, I admit it, I own one and yes the pictures it produced were terrible.
The camera is like new condition probably only 1/2 dozen roll run through. The camera is now displayed on
the shelf with other cameras like my GAF Instamatic.

I have a big roll that is probably about the same age. Never gave
it any thought that it would be usable. I do roll my own film, I think
I will give it a try and see what it produces. Thanks for the idea.

While shopping, pick-up a Brownie to compare with the "Best" camera (Nikon D5100) an American should buy!

Someone that still doesn’t get it. U.S. has been the great melting pot of the world.
Instamatic, rangefinder, SLR, film or digital who cares just don’t buy one of those Holgas!

That guy would had a field day with me. Sunday night I was using a lens that was manufactured during the late 60's on an amateur DSLR K200d that is going on 4 yrs old. I enjoy this type of experimentation, $20.00 attachment allows for a month of Sundays enjoyment.

I’ve had a couple ill-mannered persons tell me I should purchase a CaNikon.
I now have a response for them “I spend my money on quality. Pentax is like Hasselblad and Leica - can’t purchase at Wally World.”
I save that line for the superior attitude CaNikon is better than Pentax. Read that line carefully I didn't say Pentax is better than. . .
