Thanks Chuck. I appreciate your time. K-5 arriving from B&H this coming Wednesday :D. I can't wait to give it a workout on our upcoming vacation to CA.

It seems there is certainly some risk though. The guy on the link I provided via this forum bought his K-5 in late April of 2011 and it has a Pentax manufacturing date of 2011-02-21. Pentax press release says they resolved the issue in week 50 of 2010, so December of 2010. I get some comfort knowing B&H has seen no issues as of late, but geez, why does a guy need to feel like he is taking a risk with the price tags of these things :hmm:
I'd still like to know if B&H would take the camera back for a return if I discover "The Stain"?
