Beautiful. My wife and I were lucky enough to enjoy a whistle- stop tour of New Zealand last year. We were disrupted by Cyclone Gita and ended up staying in Picton, not a normal stop for overseas tourists and on paper, as the ferry terminal for North/South island transfers, a not very enticing prospect, but actually a lovely spot. Unfortunately I didn't take my DSLR, just a Panasonic FZ1000 so no pictures for this thread!

@zzeitg, that is a lovely portrait. The FA43 shines on the K1, a great walkaround combo much nicer than the 50mm F1.4

Hmm, not an easy question to answer...but here goes.
1) Shoot RAW
2) Try to avoid very monochromatic light sources as this is reducing the resolution available
3) Use a good RAW processor and noise reduction software. I use DXO sometimes also Topaz DeNoise
4) Practice holding the camera steady at low shutterpseeds

I have had some success with the FA43 and FA35 F2 on the K1 (I don't have the FA31 or FA77) - this is at ISO5000 with the FA43
