A while back (i think it was salty) someone had moisture inside the camera. It needed drying out to work right again. With the summer heat also come humid days. There may just be a build up of moisture inside the chassis. if you have a well air conditioned room, put it in there with the lens off. You'll probably have to do a sensor cleaning but the AC air will dry out any moisture.
I noticed today that I put a lens down at my feet and when I picked it up 5 minutes later, the front was totally fogged over and it was over 30 degrees C here today.
