Hey there!
Very Cool Cats and Great photos all around!!
These birds are our "adopted" pets. I put up a birdhouse several years ago and every year these little birds (I call them "punk rockers") nest there and lay their eggs. This is only the second time one of them ended up on the ground but this time I got the pictures! Momma (or dad?) kept an eye on me while I was shooting. After the "shoot" the baby, encouraged by the mom/dad bird finally started to fly!
And here's Cosmo on HIS couch all tired out from the bird watching! When photoded him hiding under the table He told me that if I went in the house and fetched him a Busy Bone he'd let me get the other half of his head. I said; "nice try Cosmo but half a head in the hand is worth twice a whole head in the bush!"

Hello Pet Peoples:D! Well, No, I didn't sell my Pentax equipment, I just haven't posted for some time (months?) So, here's a couple of Cosmo's Christmas pics and a couple right after my wife's and my birthdays.:D

Any-waay, Here's Cosmo saying Hi to the neighbor's cat and a couple shots of our son's pups-Kiesha (the Jack Russel), Ginger (the tea-cup Chiuaha) and Scooter (the partial Pug?) -better known as Bark, Barker, and Barkest:lol: The shot of Cosmo was shot with my (new) Asanuma 35-105mm 1:3.5 and the other pups were shot with my Pentax A 35-105mm 1:3.5.

Yeah, that's just the kind of guy he is-most always smiling or laughing about something, from "Busy Bones" to Mommy coming home. He's definitely a "momma's boy".:D
Concerning the photos, I took these with my "new" 35mm-105mm Asanuma 1:3.5 close-focusing (with a second focus ring) lens that I got as part of a purchase of a Tamron-F 2x tele converter which is built in K-mount- with the "A" lens contacts. I already had the Pentax 35-105 so this will be an interesting comparison. Till I opened the package, I'd never heard of the Asanuma company and then find it to be the same as my 35-105mm except it is not an "A" compatible lens and has an internal zoom mechanism.
And, with that said, it's back to "puppy-land"...:);)

I had taken a few (200) shots on Pentax day and on the next day also. But, on Pentax day I told Cosmo that I was considering becoming a professional photographer.

A couple years ago (decades actually) there was a cartoon on TV (not the shutter priority kind:p) that was called "Felix, the Cat". Now that we're in the computer age it is only fitting to have a "Kayex, the Cat"!
Sometimes the best composition is a lack thereof. Nice shot:D

Actually Tom, We were doing the same thing that your 2 pups do!:D We run around goofing around with each other and then we'll stop, look the other way(both of us), then start chasing each other again. You couldn't have described Cosmo and me any better if you'd been here!:cool:

Of course you do! Back in 1978, My wife said "and you need a $200 camera (k1000/lens/etc.) for what?" Memories of fun and family for starters and if nothing else, this stands as a good enough reason by itself to justify any amount of money spent to preserve these moments for our grandkids and their kids to look and laugh at:)
Besides, if you can't shoot the ones you love, who else would you shoot? ;)(did that come out right??)
