I finally caught up to the baby bunny that lives under our shed sitting out it our yard enjoying the breeze. It gave me enough time to throw on my 70-300mm Sigma APO 1:4-5.6 and crank it up to 300mm. The other couple are "grownups" that I caught out in the back yard with the Sigma 105mm 1:2.8 DG macro.
Unless they start doing handstands, I promise not to keep posting photobunnies every day.

I'll have to pull that squirrel up and show my Mom & Dad next time I go down to their house. She'll Love it! ( It is a great shot, by the way!) They feed the local birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and deer (whitetails) around their house. The occasional black bear stops by to visit but doesn't eat much.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I stopped hunting about 40 years ago. That, and having to push my oldest son down behind a log because of the other deer hunters bullets flying through the trees right over our heads:confused: (I never did shoot a deer so I guess I was supposed to stop hunting anyway)

These are what we have around here. They are called Eastern Cottontails. We have a lot of them around our house year long. This was a quick shot with my K3 and the Smc PENTAX-DA 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 ED AL [IF] DC WR earlier this month.

Here in Pennsylvania that is what we call a "Jackrabbit". Our local ones are just 'bunnies" by comparison. We have a rabbit family living under our shed but I've yet to be able to sneak around the corner for a photo yet. Even the baby ones are are to smart for me. I've never tried "catch-in-focus before so it may be a good time to try it out.

As long as I'm pokin' around here today, I'll share these photos of our neighbors flag. The wind was whipping it around pretty good, so I went with the K-3's 8.3 frames per second available with High speed continuous shooting mode to try to get a pic of it stretched full (IMGP7825_3056 copy.jpg).
I was using my Sigma 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 APO Macro lens @ 300mm, hand held with the lens hood on. The fast frame rate did not trouble the "steadiness" of the camera at all that I could tell.

I love cloud photos cause no two are alike, plus now I know that I'm not the only one who says "when in doubt, shoot UP". Here's a couple sky shots with the 18-135mm DA PLUS a mirror shot for Aslyfox .

Here's a couple "drive-by" shots (as a passenger) with my K-3 and my Pentax DA 18-135mm........... They are all resized to post them but that's all I did.

All of that wonderful advice aside, I think it's a great photo!
I'd be glad to just have the opportunity to get it. I've been shooting Pentax's cameras and lenses since 1978 when I
got my first K1000 and post processing just was not available. I took a lot of shots of the same subject (now called "bracketing") to be sure to get the shots I wanted. I have a K-3 now and I still do it, being much less expensive with digital and all. My only suggestion would be to take a few extra shots but like I said... I'd just be Glad to get The photo at all rather than be worry about processing. But that's just me I guess. 😀

I don't know if anybody out there has done this but I pretty sure they have. I took 4 photos using "L", "M", "S", and "XS" in Image Capture Settings. (the first page in the menu). Here are the results:
L- 6016x4000 pixels @11.1 mb
M- 4608x3072 pixels @ 7.65mb
S- 3072x2048 pixels @ 3.11mb
XS- 1920x1280 pixels @ 1.44mb

If the 4 photos upload I'll know that I don't have to use photoshop to reduce the pixel count.
I've been gone for quite awhile due to illness and Our Cosmo ( He's in Dog Heaven chasing rainbows now) so I really don't know what's been happening.
But hey, there was quite a stretch from my K1000 to when I got a K10 and I'm still here.....

I'm retired from Local 472 Carpenters and millwrights in Ashland, Kentucky. He wouldn't even be allowed on the scaffold if they were more than 6 feet off the ground. We had a guy fall from 7 feet and he just missed having his face crushed because he had his harness attached to 2(TWO) points. FWI from experience..
